7:00 Atlantis : The Greatest Riddle of Mankind? – Colyn Boyce

There have been perhaps more books, in the realm of Esotericism, written on Atlantis than any other subject, with the possible exception of ancient Egypt. Some claim that it was an island, others speculate that it occupied a continent. And one view is that Atlantis was an entire global landmass. More to the point, we were all there and probably spent several lifetimes in the Atlantean world, which occupied a very long time-span. This talk examines many of the theories concerning the rise and fall of Atlantis and what lessons it holds for our future incarnations.
Biography: Colyn Boyce was born in Canada in 1951. For a number of years, in the 1970s he was a radio journalist. A member of the Theosophical Society since 1969, he has worked for the London HQ of the TS in England since 1981. For 25 years he was engaged fulltime as Publicist and for the past 10 years, has held the post of Office Administrator with a remit to organise and promote the London programme of the Society. From 1990 to 2015 he was Assistant Editor of Insight magazine and its predecessor, The Theosophical Journal. His responsibility extended to designing and illustrating the magazines – often with his own photographs. A member of the National Lecturer’s Scheme, Colyn has spoken at our annual Summer Schools, in London and at a number of premises throughout England, Wales and Canada. Last Autumn he gave a series of lectures to branches of the TS in the NW USA.

7:00 The Neptune Void – Martin Moritz

The placement of Neptune in a chart is often the source of our capacity for longing and idealisation. Deep down in us lies a need to merge with another person, an ideal, a state of dreamy sensual delight and ecstasy. This can come to us in various forms. We can be devoted to a course, a partner or family member, find great joy in art or travels. Or we can get lost by misusing drugs, becoming the victim of self-deception or running out empty from getting manipulated by other persons or circumstances. In many cases we experience both extremes, which makes Neptune’s realm so very foggy and mysterious. We shall explore the reasons for our yearning and why disappointment and de-idealisation can drain out all our energy, but can also be a kick to let go of unrealistic demands and expectations.

8:30 The Neptunian dependency

7:00 The Path of the Moon’s Nodes – Pauline Gerosa

THE PATH OF THE MOON’S NODES an Evolutionary Journey across the Zodiac
“it is good to have an end to journey toward but it is the journey that matters, in the end” Ursula Le Guin
In traditional astrology, the Moon’s Nodes are referred to as the Head & Tail of the Dragon. There were some fairly gruesome interpretations given for the placements of the mythical creature’s extremities within birth charts in ancient times. But these days we’re less bound by fatalistic warnings and more interested in how to take a pro-active approach to developing our individual potential. The Dragon is a wonderful symbol for personal evolution. It describes the journey from the inborn knowing-ness contained in the Dragon’s Tail (the South Node) to the fully-conscious awareness of the Dragon’s Head (the North Node). We’ve learned to trust the accumulated knowledge & experience stored in our Dragon’s Tail which may have been gained over a series of past lives or existences and we’re extending and evolving it to the next level of wisdom.
Biography: Pauline Gerosa DFAstrolS
In 1986 I experienced a traumatic period in my personal life. I turned to astrology for guidance and to help me understand my situation so I could make the best of it. As I was living in London, I was able to attend regular classes held by the Faculty of Astrological Studies. I spent six spellbinding years studying and I gained my diploma in 1992, when I began to read birth charts professionally. I suppose I was born an astrologer as I have always been interested in people, their lives and loves, hopes and dreams, sorrows and joys. I think growing up in the Arabian desert under those amazing night skies crammed with stars may also have had something to do with it!
