Astrology & Healing Day – Shakespeare’s use of Astrological and Humoral Imagery – Wanda Sellar
Astrological imagery is peppered throughout Shakespeare’s plays to underscore character and denote passage of time. Tudor audiences would have understood such astrological allusions. Characters might also be drawn from the Four Humours, revealing temperament and illness. We’ll be looking at plays, people and physicians who might have judged disease by such Humours, as well as the process by which we might judge our own Humour.
Biography: Wanda Sellar DMS.astrol., Q.H.P., holds a Diploma in Psychology and Counselling from University of London’s Institute of Education and is keenly interested in the psychology and pathology of the human psyche. To this end she has made medical astrology one of her main interests both from a physical and mental perspective. Her books include: The Consultation Chart, Introduction to Medical Astrology, Introduction to Decumbiture and Chart Shapes: The Code to Interpretation.. She is a past president of the Astrological Lodge of London and the editor of the A.A’s Astrology and Medicine Newsletter.

Wanda SellarBiography: Wanda is the current Vice President of the Astrological Lodge, and a past President. She is also the current programme organiser, and co-editor of the Astrology Quarterly. She has taught in Europe and Japan, and has several books on astrology to her credit. These include the most recent which is ‘Chart Shapes: the code to interpretation.’ Wanda has trained as a counsellor and Regression Therapist, the latter at Regent’s College under Dr Keith Hearn.
